I really wanted to showcase the studio photos of the Baby Ball at his Baptism, and I thought my idea for adding a picture centerpiece with a different picture and quote per table would be simple enough. Something I could DIY, I thought. Hindi ko kinaya! Hehe.
I knew Divisoria would be the way to go since I’ll need a number of frames. Luckily, I mentioned that I was looking for simple white picture frames to the Princess’s yaya at that time, who bought them for me on her trip to Divisoria. This was in 2014, and the 3×5″ frames cost 25php each, while the 8×10″ ones sold at 3 for 150php. Good deal na rin, right? (Update: I later found the same 3×5″ frames selling for 66php each at Japan Home stores) So getting the frames was fairly easy.
It was the editing that gave me headaches! Siningit ko in-between mommy duties ang pag-prepare ng quotes and pag-download ng free fonts, then I experimented editing the pictures in Microsoft Paint. I know, I know… Paint lang kasi ang alam ko gamitin, sorry naman.:) But I was so proud pa of what I did ha, I thought maganda! Pero… when we had samples printed just to see how it would look like in the frame, the size was sooooo off! There were white parts in the prints because according to the printers, alanganin daw yung print size I wanted, and the text I wanted on the photo didn’t fit or was cut when printed. Hay this editing ha… not as easy as I thought!
Luckily my sis-in-law came to my rescue and volunteered to edit the pictures for us. She decided on the different whimsical fonts to use, resized the photos depending on the frame size, put in the text, put in a discrete border as guide, and basically did all the editing necessary so I could pull off this personalized centerpiece thing. Woohooo! Galing talaga as always!
