As I mentioned in my previous post here, my Little Princess is not so little anymore. She requested to celebrate with her friends and classmates this year, and after some (okay, a lot) of discussions, we finally decided to give her a party on the day of her 7th Birthday.
I started planning and canvassing about six months prior, and I’m glad I did because I was able to:
(1) inquire, canvas, and compare potential suppliers;
(2) book and reserve with the suppliers I wanted;
(3) budget and save up for the expenses;
(3) schedule purchases and payments accordingly; and
(4) organize and finalize everything early so I wasn’t harassed.
I’ll be blogging about my party suppliers when I get the pictures from For Keeps Photography, to also help out some of the mommies out there who are planning their kids’ birthdays. I’ll be posting about them individually, but in the meantime, here’s a rundown of the suppliers we had for the Princess’ 7th Birthday:
Venue: Amistosa Clubhouse in Tierra Nueva Village, Alabang
Host and Magician: Alex Lagula
Venue Décor: Mr. Balloonatix (Jojo Cruz)
Caterer: Queensland Catering
Cake and Dessert Buffet: Baked Twinkles (Nikko Saulo)
Photographer: For Keeps Photography (David Lim)
Videographer: ObscuraX (Quincy and Team)
Foodcarts: Crafty Celebrations
Toddler’s Activity Area: Hands N’ Mind
Invitations: Mondzaid Graphics
Giveaways: Oriental Trading
Prizes: Divisoria and SM Department Store
I had so much fun planning this party, and I’m so grateful with how it turned out. My husband and I were happy. The kids were happy. The adult guests were happy. A mommy of one of the Princess’ classmates even messaged me after and said, “Thank you for having us. I think everyone will agree with me that we all had fun talaga, kids and adults alike. It was very nice to meet you and your family.”
Even our suppliers were happy! One supplier even said, “This is the best party I ever worked at. Your family is so warm and welcoming.”
I really felt blessed and I appreciated everyone’s presence, comments and love for the Princess on her birthday. But the moments I’ll treasure most of all was seeing the Princess giddy and smiling from ear-to-hear, watching her having fun with her friends, seeing her confidently perform her song on stage, and her hug and heartfelt whisper that night: “Mama, Papa, thank you very much for my birthday party.” Ok. Sulit na. It was all time, money and effort well spent!
